Świadczy to o sile dokonań Jana Pawła Drugiego oraz jego bliskości do Boga. Uroczystość beatyfikacyjna odbyła się pierwszego maja. Wierni, którzy tak licznie przybyli aby być świadkami tego wydarzenia mdleli w ciasnocie i zaduchu.
