W trzeciej Tajemnicy Fatimskiej mowa jest o śmiertelnej broni, którą stworzą ludzie i o zniszczeniu, które nastąpi po jej użyciu. Zacznie się wojna na tle religijnym, a Bóg korzystając ze swej nieskończonej mocy, ześle na Ziemię zimno i ogień, wiatr i dym, trzęsienia ziemi i powodzie, grad. Oceany wyparują. Kara, która spotka wszystkich ludzi związana jest również z odrzuceniem powołania do służby Bogu. Łucja mówiła o szatanie, który odciąga ludzi od Boga sprawiając iż dusze ich robią się zatwardziałe, serca oziębłe, a życie zewnętrzne jałowe. Mówi o naukowcach, którzy stworzą broń zdolną do zniszczenia połowy ludzkości w jednej chwili. Zagrożenie dotknie również Kościół, który wystawiony będzie na wielką próbę. Kardynałowie będą występować przeciwko sobie. Zginie wszystko co małe i wszystko co wielkie, a kara będzie surowsza niż starotestamentowy potop. Zginą miliony ludzi, a po nich kolejne. Ci, którzy przeżyją, będą zazdrościć tym co już umarli.
Ratunek w roku 2012
Według siostry, jedynym ratunkiem jest nawrócenie i modlitwa. Chodzi tu jednak o całą ludzkość, a nie o pojedyncze osoby. Jeśli nie nawrócą się królowie, władcy, kapłani i świeccy, to kara nikogo nie ominie, ani dzieci, ani dorosłych, ani wierzących, ani ateistów.
