Asperatus (łac. nierówny, chropowaty, szorstki) to nazwa nowego typu chmur, który na wniosek brytyjskich Łowców Chmur ma zostać wpisany do Międzynarodowego Atlasu Chmur. To pierwsze nowe chmury, które pojawiły się na niebie od 1951 roku. Jako pierwsza zaobserwowała je Margaret LeMone, która fotografuje je już od 30 lat.

Pojawienie się nowych chmur wiąże się z teorią o końcu świata mającym nastąpić w 2012 roku.
